How it started
One Greenpoint rooftop An idea
It started on a Greenpoint rooftop on a warm summer night. Anna had been sourcing green tea since her Alabama days — she knew the good stuff, knew how it smelled dry, knew how it burned. Paulina pulled out the last pack she'd brought back from a herbalist shop in San Diego — the kind of place you only find if someone takes you there.
The three of them passed it around, watched the city light up below the water towers, and started talking. About the herbs they grew up around. About the ritual of it. About how nobody in Brooklyn was making something like this from scratch. By the time the pack was done, so was the idea. Brooklyn Tea Cigs was born on that Greenpoint rooftop.
Everything since has been built by hand — sourcing the herbs, dialing in the blends, rolling every cigarette ourselves in a Greenpoint kitchen. Small batch, always fresh, never compromising on what goes inside.
